Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) expressed his condolences on the passing of former Senator Joe Lieberman. In a statement, Congressman Cole remarked, "I learned of the passing of former Senator Joe Lieberman with genuine sadness and regret. America has truly lost one of ‘the better angels of our nature.’"

Reflecting on his interactions with Senator Lieberman, Congressman Cole shared, "He was one of the most decent and amiable people I ever encountered. Senator Lieberman was instinctively bipartisan and always put the country’s interests above his own personal or parochial concerns.
