East Central University women’s soccer player Kaylee Bruce has been named the Great American Conference Offensive Player of the Week after her performance in ECU’s come-from-behind 3-2 win against Southern Nazarene on Sept. 16.

This is the first career GAC Offensive Player of the Week honor for Bruce.

In the match against SNU, the junior from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada recorded the game-winning goal that helped the Tigers earn their first win of the 2022 season and improve 1-0 in conference play. In the 59th minute, Bruce deposited the winner with a tap in past the Crimson Storm goalkeeper less than two minutes after Alexis Perez’s game-tying goal. She now has 3 goals on the season.

Bruce and the Tigers will be back in action at Tiger Soccer Field on Thursday when they take on Southwestern Oklahoma State University at 3 p.m.
