East Central University Football has been chosen sixth in the 2022 Great American Conference preseason poll by the league coaches, announced Tuesday.
Last season the Tigers finished 7-4 overall in GAC play finishing the 2021 season on the road with a 30-28 win over Southeastern.
The Tigers return four All-GAC players from the 2021 roster. Redshirt junior Anthony Wright (OL), Redshirt senior Jalen Baldwin (CB), Redshirt sophomore Michael Onwuzurike (OLB) and Redshirt junior Keonte Lusk (CB). Continue to be on the lookout for the 2022 roster as players report back to campus to prepare for the upcoming season.
The Tigers open the 2022 season at Koi Ishto Stadium in Ada September 1 at 6 p.m. against the reigning conference champions, Harding University. Stay tuned for more information on how to purchase your tickets online.
