Eastern Oklahoma State College forward Crystal Ortiz has earned her third Player of the Week award for the season. She was named the NJCAA Region 2 Player of the Week for Jan. 2-8. This marks the third time an Eastern women’s basketball player has earned the distinction so far this season.

Ortiz is a sophomore from Sallisaw, Okla. She is currently averaging 18.5 points per game while shooting 41.3 percent from the field and 33.9 percent from beyond the arc through 15 games. Ortiz is also shooting 85.1 percent from the free-throw line so far this season.
