I met with 2 members of the Chickasaw Nation Emergency Management to receive supplies we ordered from them based off of a grant they received during the Covid Pandemic for PPE supplies. We received 1 pallet of hand sanitizer, 1 pallet of disinfectant spray, and 1 pallet of hand wipes.

Love County Emergency Manager Ashleigh Gillham reached out to our office to see if we may need some of these supplies in the Detention Center and Sheriff’s Office a couple of weeks ago and we placed our order then.

These supplies would typically be items we order with funds in our budget. However thanks to the grant there was an excess of these supplies that we were able to get at no cost to tax payers and we will be able to utilize the funds that would normally be spent on these items for other projects that might not have been in the budget.

A big thank you to the Chickasaw Nation Emergency Management as well as the Love County Emergency Management for thinking of us and reaching out to confirm we could use the supplies.

We appreciate the partnership we have with the Chickasaw Nation as well as the Love County Emergency Management.
