Southeastern closed out its trip to the Mardi Gras Invitational with a 6-2 loss to No. 6 Texas A&M-Kingsville on Sunday afternoon in Youngsville, La.
 
The loss brings the Savage Storm record to 3-2 to end the weekend.
 
Ananda Garrison led the way with a pair of hits, while Kamryn Rackley, Sabetha Sands, Cheyenne Mahy, Iliana Olivares, and Marilyn Alvarado each picked up a hit.
 
Olivares also picked up a pair of RBI.
 
Amberlyn Walsworth got the star and suffered the loss after tossing 5.0 innings and allowing five runs, three of them earned, on seven hits with two strikeouts.
 
Taylor Reese came on in relief and was tagged with an unearned run in two innings of work with two strikeouts.
 
TAMUK used a two-run triple followed by an RBI single to take a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
 
The Javelinas would then take advantage of Storm errors in the second, fourth, and sixth innings to bring home a run each and push its lead to 6-0.
 
The Storm would get on the board in the sixth as Olivares would drive in Sands and Rackley with an RBI single to right in the bottom of the sixth, closing the gap to 6-2 which would be the final.
