The Great American Conference announced Tuesday the men's cross country preseason poll for the 2022 season. East Central University has been picked third.
Last season, the East Central University men's cross country team finished third, out of eight, at the 2021 Great American Conference Championship.
For the upcoming 2022 season, the Tigers return All-GAC First Team selection Drew Wiles, Second Team member Emmanuel Bett, and Amos Pkiach, winner of the 1,500-, 5,000- and 10,000-meter races at the 2022 GAC Track and Field Championships. Pkiach set a new course, ECU and GAC track record with a time of 29:54.60 in the 10,000 Meters. Bett claimed All-GAC honors for the third straight season while Wiles claimed his first All-GAC honor in his first participation in a GAC Championship.
East Central University men's cross country will begin the 2022 season Thursday, Sept. 1 at the RSU Invitational in Tulsa, Okla.
