A fifth place team finish for the men's team and seventh place showing by the women highlighted a trip to the Friends University Tournament for the Murray State golf teams last week in McPherson, Kansas.
The Aggies posted a three-round total score of 923, finishing behind Friends, Garden City, Central Christian and USAO.
Logan McCoid led the charge for Murray State with a Top 10 finish as he wrapped up tied for the 10th position with a combined score of 226. He was right in title contention after an opening round 73 before posting scores of 76 and 77 in the final two rounds.
Juergen Ballesterors carded a three-round mark of 231 to tie for 18th individually. Parker Samuelson checked in tied for 21st just two shots back of Ballesteros with a 233. Dylan Hart's total of 238 put him in a 33rd place tie with Brendan Willoughby rounding out the Aggies' total with a 246 over the three rounds for 51st individually.
On the women's side, Jaimee Copeland paced the Lady Aggies to a two-round total score of 813 in the Kansas event. She notched a 92 in round one and 95 in the second round for a combined 187. Ariel McDonald was just back, tallying a round one 94 but had to withdraw from the second round.
The Lady Aggies got a two-round total of 201 from Kylee Smith, who finished 28th. Gracie Lynch ended 31st with a score of 217 while Chloe Reasoner was 32nd at 224.
Next on the schedule for Coach Luke Coppedge's teams is a tournament at Thorntree Golf Club in Hesston, Kansas October 24-25.
