Thirteen three-pointers were not enough Tuesday night as the Murray State Aggies came up on the short end of an 84-74 road decision at Seminole State.
The loss dropped the Aggies to 6-7 overall and 0-3 in league play as the Trojans took advantage of size and strong inside play to notch the victory.
Coach Josh Davis' club managed just 27 points before the halftime break before erupting after intermission 47 points but could never erase the early deficit.
Ten Aggies got involved in the scoring as A.J. Richard paced three players in double figures with a season-best 18 points, canning three treys along the way. K.J. Boone added a couple of three-pointers as well on the way to his season high 16 points. Freshman Tarrance Austin came alive scoring all his points after the half while compiling a season best 11.
Jackson Lawley sank three treys as he posted a season high also with nine points. Stanley Harley notched six points, Riley Shema added five, Cordrayius Graham tossed in three as T.J. Gardner, Kyle Tolbert and Kameron Johnson all ended with two.
The Aggies will be idle until Saturday, December 10 when they host Grayson College in a non-conference tilt at 4 p.m.
