Briley Moon and Caitlin Kobiske combined for 32 points but that was nearly all of the Southeastern offense in the team's lowest offensive outing of the season on Thursday night in a 57-38 loss to Arkansas Tech in Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

The loss drops the Savage Storm to 3-7 on the season and 1-4 in Great American Conference play with a Saturday afternoon matchup on the slate versus Harding on Jan. 7 at 1 p.m.

Moon led SE with 17 points, hitting a pair of threes, and going 7-of-18 from the floor.

Kobiske was next in line with 15 points on a 6-of-16 effort shooting while completing a double-double with 10 rebounds which led all players in the contest.

Grace Alverson, Aimee Alverson, and Lauren Beason each scored two points to round out the Storm scoring.

Moon added six rebounds while Beason hauled in five.

Abbie Barr led the team in assists with three.

The teams traded buckets out of the gate, with ATU taking a 9-8 lead by the 4:31 mark of the first quarter before a Moon three kicked off an 8-0 run which gave the Storm a 16-9 lead after one frame.

The lead would hit nine points on an early bucket by Kobiske in the second quarter, but the Golden Suns would close the gap slowly over the second quarter, eventually tying the game at 18-18 with 4:43 to play in the half.

SE would get a Moon bucket and ATU would answer, but a Moon free throw with just over a minute to play would give the Storm a 21-20 lead at the break.

The Suns would take the lead early in the third, with SE bouncing back to tie the game at 24-24 on a Kobiske three-point play with 6:11 remaining in the third.

ATU would answer and eventually push its lead to five points before the Storm closed the deficit to 33-30 after three quarters.

The Southeastern offense would cool in the final frame, missing all seven three-point attempts and hitting 25.0 percent from the file overall as ATU would outscore the Storm 24-8 over the final 10 minutes to fashion the 57-38 final.
