A rough shooting night spelled doom for the Murray State Aggies Saturday as they dropped a 92-47 verdict on the road at Ranger Junior College.
The loss was the seventh straight for the Aggies, who will be back home for the first time in the second semester on Monday, facing Eastern Junior College at 7:30 inside Beames Fieldhouse.
Murray State managed just 13 first half points in the Texas road trip with Kyle Tolbert and Kameron Johnson each contributing four points as Ranger claimed a 40-13 edge at the break.
Ranger continued the second half onslaught with 52 points as the Aggies improved a bit but still with 34 points following intermission.
Johnson tallied a team-high eight points to spur the Murray State offense. Stanley Harley pitched in seven, Tolbert had six, Tarrance Austin scored five, Jackson Lawley and Jaelen Tucker notched four apiece, Freddie Cooper added three with K.J. Boone, Brevon Ford, T.J. Gardner and Cordrayius Graham each ending with two.
