Today, Congressman Tom Cole of Oklahoma's 4th District addressed concerns regarding the potential termination of the National Weather Center's lease. In his statement, Cole emphasized the critical role the center plays in public safety.

"As a resident of Moore, I know firsthand how important the National Weather Center in Norman is," said Congressman Cole. He highlighted the center's function in saving lives by providing alerts for tornadoes, hurricanes, and other severe storms.

Cole assured that he and his staff are actively communicating with the Administration to convey the center's significance, especially as storm season approaches. "I am confident once all the facts are known, the National Weather Center will remain operational and in Oklahoma," he stated.
