Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Cole of Oklahoma has voiced his strong support for three crucial national security bills that recently passed the House. In a statement following his vote in favor of the bills, Congressman Cole emphasized the importance of prioritizing the safety and defense of the nation in the face of global challenges.

“The safety and defense of the nation is our fundamental duty. At a time of such turmoil in the world, America can’t cower to evil. I proudly voted to stand firmly on the side of freedom. These measures protect our friends and partners, bolster American defense, and support the security of the free world. This House just showed tyrants and despots who wish harm upon us and our allies that we will not waver as the beacon of leadership and liberty,” said Congressman Cole.

The three national security bills that received bipartisan support in the House are the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, the Ukraine Security Supplemental Act, and the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act. Each of these bills addresses specific security concerns and aims to strengthen key alliances and defense capabilities.

The Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act focuses on replenishing defense systems and providing support for U.S. military operations responding to threats in the region. Similarly, the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act provides lethal assistance to Ukraine in its efforts to defend against external aggression, while also enhancing transparency and oversight of aid provided.

In addition, the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act aims to bolster deterrence against military provocations and enhance security cooperation with regional partners. This includes investments in critical defense infrastructure and measures to counter strategic threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party.

By supporting these critical national security bills, Congressman Cole and his colleagues in the House have reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the interests of the United States and its allies in an increasingly complex global landscape.
