Murray State caught fire in a big way, tallying a season-high point total to stun Seminole State, 99-84, in men's basketball action Monday night at Beames Fieldhouse.

The Aggies' early sharpshooting proved to be an omen of things to come as they canned seven three-pointers on the way to a blistering 54 points in the opening 20 minutes to claim a 54-42 cushion at the halftime break. K.J. Boone was the catalyst of the first half onslaught with 14 before the break with Freddie Cooper just behind that with 12 points.

Things didn't cool much after the half as Murray State outscored the Trojans by a 45-42 count following intermission as they finished with 12 treys for the game to improve to 9-15 on the season and 3-7 in league play. Seminole State fell to 18-5 on the year.

A total of 12 Aggies scored in the contest with Boone leading the charge with 23 points as Cooper also contributed 17. Cordrayius Graham was the third Murray State player in double figures with 13.

A.J. Richard notched nine points, Kameron Johnson had eight, Stanley Harley and Ridley Shema both scored seven, Jaelen Tucker had four, Tarrance Austin, T.J. Gardner and Jackson Lawley all scored three with Kyle Tolbert adding two.
