Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released a statement following his vote in favor of the Fiscal Year 2025 Defense Appropriations Act and the Fiscal Year 2025 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act.

“Whenever America calls, our military is there to bravely carry out the mission before them. That must never change,” said Congressman Cole. “The FY25 Defense and State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations bills ensure our defenders are equipped, trained, and prepared to protect the United States while reducing excessive spending at the same time. These bills lead through strength with our adversaries, enact pay raises for the nation’s junior enlisted, deliver a combat-ready military that can preserve freedom, counter the destabilizing actions of Hamas terrorists, Communist China, and fentanyl traffickers, and safeguard American families. I am proud to have voted in favor of these bills today as they both promote the doctrine of peace through strength.”
