Today, Congressman Tom Cole addressed concerns about potential layoffs at Tinker Air Force Base. He acknowledged the issue and emphasized his ongoing engagement with the situation. As the congressional representative for the base, Cole stated, “I am aware of the concern of layoffs at Tinker Air Force Base. As the Representative for the base in Congress, I share these concerns and have been closely monitoring the situation."
Cole mentioned that he and his staff are in regular contact with Tinker Air Force Base leadership but have not received any official confirmation regarding the number of probationary employees who might be affected. "My staff and I have been in regular contact with leadership at Tinker Air Force base and have received no official confirmation on the possible number of probationary employees being let go," he said.
He reassured constituents that he remains committed to supporting Tinker Air Force Base and its civilian workforce. "I will continue to be actively engaged on the situation, as I will always fight for Tinker Air Force base and the critical role the base and its civilian employees play to safeguard our nation,” Congressman Cole affirmed.
