Congressman Tom Cole of Oklahoma's 4th District recently met with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago to discuss key elements of the America First agenda and Republican priorities for the upcoming 119th Congress. Following their meeting, Congressman Cole released a statement highlighting the topics they covered during their discussions.
"Visionary leadership will put the nation back on track. Sitting beside President Trump this weekend, our conversation centered on conservative values to renew American greatness. We engaged on spending priorities, cutting waste, reconciliation plans, and the debt ceiling. I made clear of my readiness to partner with the incoming President and his administration to advance the America First agenda, which begins with securing our borders and revitalizing pro-growth economic policies," said Congressman Cole.
Cole expressed confidence in the direction set by President Trump and appreciated the opportunity to engage in dialogue aimed at establishing a collaborative relationship. "It was a powerful and unifying start. I trust in President Trump’s direction and am grateful for his time. We have set a foundation to further a strong working relationship rooted in forging a safer and more prosperous future for all Americans," he added.
