Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) responded to the tragic collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge with a statement expressing his concern and support for those affected by the incident.

"My prayers are with Maryland, and everyone impacted by the tragic Francis Scott Bridge collapse. Brave first responders are continuing their rescue efforts, and they have our deepest gratitude as they aid the injured and search for those missing. As Chairman of Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies, it is a priority of mine to ensure proper federal resources are deployed quickly, as well as provide answers. During this time of need, we are seeing states from across the nation offer assistance. That fellowship shows we will navigate this tragedy together and ensure we are supporting a community during this difficult situation,” said Congressman Cole.
