Congressman Tom Cole and executives from Pratt and Whitney have expressed their support for the opening of a new facility outside Tinker Air Force Base. The 845,000 square foot establishment will serve as a central hub for depot operations related to all Pratt and Whitney military engines.
"Congratulations to the Tinker Air Force Base and Pratt and Whitney teams on opening this new facility," stated Congressman Cole. He emphasized the significance of Pratt and Whitney's advancements in military engine technology, highlighting its role in strengthening Oklahoma's national security sector. Cole also noted that the project would create numerous jobs in Oklahoma City, contributing positively to both immediate defense needs and future preparedness.
Jill Albertelli, President of Pratt and Whitney, remarked on the investment's impact: "This investment not only bolsters our capacity to support existing military programs but also primes us for future growth. Our enhanced facilities will drive operational excellence and reinforce our commitment to our customers’ missions globally."
