Today, Congressman Tom Cole from Oklahoma's 4th district announced his support for the House GOP Budget Resolution. In a statement released after the vote, Congressman Cole emphasized that his decision aligns with a mandate given by the American people in the previous November.
“Last November, the American people gave us a very clear mandate. Today, with my ‘yes’ vote on the House Republican budget resolution, I voted to help President Trump deliver on this mandate,” said Congressman Cole.
He outlined several key aspects of the budget framework he supports: investment in border security, strengthening national security, addressing waste and fraud in taxpayer spending, increasing domestic energy production, and preventing what could be a significant tax increase.
“I am proud of my vote today, as it is a crucial step towards fulfilling on the promises we made to the American people,” added Congressman Cole.
