ADA, OK – Today, Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) expressed his satisfaction after visiting the Pontotoc Technology Center in Ada, Oklahoma. The visit follows his successful securing of $4.5 million for the Tech Center in the Fiscal Year 2024 Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations bill.

"The Pontotoc Technology Center is such an essential part of our community, as they help to provide a trained workforce in Oklahoma for so many different critical professions including nurses, electricians, firefighters, paramedics, welders, EMTs, and much more," said Congressman Cole. "This is why I am very proud to have secured $4.5 million in government funding for the Tech Center, which will allow them to expand and renovate existing facilities to provide more classroom space, as well as accommodate special needs students."

Superintendent Travis Graham also commented on the allocation of funds, stating, "The $4.5 million allocation for the Community Project at Pontotoc Technology Center will allow growth for our institution as we serve the growing communities in Pontotoc County and Southern Oklahoma. The funding will be used to construct and improve a healthcare facility for current and future health specific programs. By extending our current educational space, Pontotoc Technology Center will be able to extend the current and future capacities of our existing programs, which will create new industry pathways to a diverse workforce."

The improvements and expansions at the Pontotoc Technology Center are expected to have a positive economic impact on the communities it serves, providing high-quality industry-specific training and creating new opportunities for students in the region.
