Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) released a statement following his attendance at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Joint Address of Congress.

“Israel is our closest friend and ally in the Middle East, as well as the only democracy in the region. It is currently under an evil assault by Iran, the largest state sponsor of terrorism and a deadly enemy to both Israel and the United States, and Hamas, a terrorist group that not only ruthlessly murdered, raped, and mutilated countless innocent people on October 7, 2023, but also still holds over one hundred hostages, including five Americans,” said Congressman Cole.

“These attacks on Israel are defining moments. During this time when Israel is not only desperately fighting for its right to survive but also for the rights of Jewish people everywhere, it is imperative that we lead through strength and show the rest of the world that America will not waver in our ironclad support for our great ally,” said Congressman Cole. “We must continue to stand like a rock with Israel to ensure that the Israelis have the essential resources to defend itself and eradicate the barbaric terrorist organization Hamas from this earth for good. We, the United States of America, cannot, and will not, allow the Axis of Evil to win.”
