After voting in favor of these bills, Congressman Cole issued a statement:
“During this unstable time where Chinese hostility against both our nation and our partners in the Western Pacific region has significantly increased, the need for strong national security is as important as ever," said Congressman Cole. "Yet, the Biden-Harris Administration’s constant displays of foreign policy weakness have diminished our standing on the global stage, emboldened our adversaries, and made the world a much more dangerous place,” he continued.
“This cannot continue," Cole added, emphasizing the urgency of countering what he described as an existential threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). "It is imperative that we combat the existential threat of the Chinese Communist Party and restore the strength and dominance of the United States of America. This series of bills does just that.”
