Congressman Tom Cole (OK-04) has announced his support for two legislative measures aimed at addressing immigration policies enacted by the current administration. In a statement released today, Cole confirmed his vote in favor of H.R. 7909, the Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, and H.R. 5717, the No Bailout for Sanctuary Cities Act.
“From day one in office, the Biden-Harris Administration has implemented far-Left open-border policies that have jeopardized the safety and security of every community throughout the United States," said Congressman Cole. "As a result, skyrocketing numbers of illegal immigrants have swarmed our southern border, an abundance of individuals whose names appear on the terrorist watchlist have tried to enter our nation undocumented, traffickers and drug cartels have taken advantage of these radical border policies, and deadly fentanyl has been pushed into our nation’s communities. Enough is enough.”
Cole expressed confidence that both acts would help counteract what he described as failed policies by the current administration. “The Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act and the No Bailout for Sanctuary Cities Act will help reverse the failed open-border policies of this Administration, and I am proud to have voted in favor of these bills this week,” he added.
